45 people awaiting beds at LUH

For the second day running, Letterkenny University Hospital had the second highest level of overcrowding in the country this morning, with 45 patients awaiting beds, nine of them on Emergency Department trolleys.

In Sligo, there were 18 people without beds, 11 of them in the ED.

The state’s highest figure was recorded in Limerick, with 75 people waiting there.

The national total was 332.
