Amber Barret plays in ROI Ladies win

The Republic of Ireland women’s team defeated Australia 3-2 in their friendly international at Tallaght Stadium on Tuesday night.

It was the Republics first win since March of last year.

Donegal’s Amber Barrett started the game and played an hour of the tie while Ciara Grant was an used sub.

Louise Quinn scored what proved to be the winner four-minutes after the break.

Denise O’Sullivan and debutant Lucy Quinn also found the net.

Next up is their 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup campaign, starting at home to Sweden on October 21st.
