It’s been confirmed that Irish Water will connect North Inishowen to the Eddie Fullerton Dam, with the work set to be done in the next few months.
Over the past number of weeks restrictions have been in place in parts of the peninsula, particularly those served by the reservoirs in Carndonagh and Clonmany.
Cllr Martin McDermott says it’s led to an intolerable situation for businesses and residents, and connection to the Fullerton Pollan Dam is crucial to ensuring the area has a proper supply:
