Derry and Strabane District Council has announced a number of initiatives to clean up and improve Strabane Town centre.
It comes after concern was expressed at the dilapidated state of parts of the town, and a perception that there’s been a lack of investment in the area.
West Tyrone MLA Daniel McCrossan acknowledges that major public realm works are in the pipeline, and says he and others will be actively seeking to ensure that is rolled out as quickly as possible.
In the meantime, he says it’s important that the council demonstrate its commitment to Strabane, and show the people there that they are not being left behind:
