Mark English will be back on track in Spain on Saturday as he looks to close in on a place at the Olympic Games.
Last Sunday he won the 800m in Sweden setting a season best 1:45.70 which was half a second of the automatic qualifying mark.
That win improved his ranking and should be enough to get him to Japan.
Before that however he will contest a top quality 800m race in Madrid this weekend as part of the World Athletics Continental Tour and will then defend his title at the National Championships in Santry the following weekend.
