British government calls for EU to be “more pragmatic” regarding Northern Ireland protocol

The British Government has urged the EU to be “more pragmatic” about the implementation of the Northern Ireland protocol.

Discussions over trading rules between Britain and Northern Ireland are expected as international leaders meet at the G7 summit in Cornwall today.

French President Emmanuel Macron met Boris Johnson earlier and urged him to stand by the terms of the Brexit deal.

But according to UK Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab, it is now up to the EU to act:
