Taoiseach pays low-key visit to Donegal to visit Mica homeowners

Taoiseach Micheal Martin paid a low-key visit to Donegal yesterday to meet with Mica affected homeowners.

Micheal Martin along with Agriculture Minister Charlie McConalogue visited a family in Raphoe whose home is affected by defective blocks and met with the Mica Action Group and members of Donegal County Council to discuss resolutions to concerns raised over the redress scheme.

Chair of the Council’s Mica Redress Committee, Councillor Martin McDermott says yesterday was an opportunity for the Taoiseach to see and hear first hand the concerns of the people of Donegal.

He says the Taoiseach acknowledged the magnitude of the Mica issue:
