Mica homeowner appeals for public support ahead of Dublin protest

A mica affected homeowner has appealed for public support ahead of a planned Mica redress protest taking place in Dublin next week.

Catherine Duffy from Drumkeen built her dream house with her partner back in 2003. Eight years ago they realised there was a problem with the outer wall.

Paint began to chip from the gable end of the house and cracks began to appear. At first they assumed it was bad plastering as the paint would not stick to the wall.

But in February this year, Catherine found out her house was affected by Mica. Speaking to Donal Kavanagh this morning on The Nine til Noon Show, she called for public support ahead of the Mica Protest in Dublin:
