Hospitality sector needs notice to prepare for reopening – IHF

The Irish Hotels Federation is urging the government to set out a roadmap for the reopening of the sector, with dates laid out as to when they can reopen.

Paul Diver, the IHF’s Chair in Donegal, says there is a lot of work involved in reopening a hotel, and there must be plenty of notice given to allow that happen properly.

The federation is particularly anxious to see Inter County travel permitted and capacity linked to function room size and space available for events. They also want the EU Digital Green Certificate to be adopted and plans to be put in place for other vaccinated international travellers.
