No joy for Barrett and Ireland against Denmark

Donegal’s Amber Barrett was on the Republic of Ireland team that played in a friendly against Denmark  at Tallaght Stadium on Thursday evening. The Irish lost 1-0 .
The Milford striker played just over an hour to earn her 21st senior international cap.
On Sunday, they have another friendly, against Belgium.
Manager Vera Pauw believes that her side showed Denmark too much respect in the opening half but was very proud of her team’s overall performance against one of the strongest sides in Europe despite going behind early in the game.
