Motorist caught driving under the influence in south Donegal

A motorist has been caught driving under the influence in south Donegal. 
Gardai from Ballyshannon stopped a car at Rockfield yesterday morning at an Operation Fanacht Checkpoint and the driver was arrested on suspicion of drug driving.
They subsequently tested positive for the presence of cannabis.
The driver and passenger were both also issued with Fixed Payment Notices for breach of the Covid travel restrictions.
