Slight changes in rates for Derry & Strabane

 

Derry City and Strabane District Council has agreed its budget for the coming financial year, with a 1.89% increase in the District Rate.
The council says when coupled with a regional rates freeze, this will see overall rates bills increase by 0.99%, the lowest rate increase in almost 50 years.
The council says this will see the average rates bill increase by £9.16 over the course of the year.
