Twelve arrests in Donegal for drink/drug driving over past week

Twelve people have been arrested for either drug or drink driving in Donegal over the last week.
Five arrests were made for drink driving and seven arrested for drug driving related offences.
Gardai say that driving under the influence remains a big concern within the Donegal Division.
They are warning that they will continue in their bid to make the roads a safer place by conducting checkpoints and making arrests in this regard.
Gardai say that if a driver decides to take a chance in relation to road safety whether that be through drink or drug driving then they should be aware that checkpoints are being conducted and if detected committing these offences, they will be arrested and will face the possibility of a Court appearance/driving disqualification.
