Donegal and Derry will host conventions this evening


The north west counties will host their Annual County Conventions over the next two days.
All will be done virtually under Croke Park restrictions.
This evening at the Donegal convention, three officer positions will be filled.
With St Eunan’s Frankie Doherty vacating the Vice Chairman role, Killybegs Ed Byrne and Cloughaneely’s Seamus O’Domhaill will contest for the job which will also fill the role of Chairman of the CCC.
Donegal’s two Ulster Council slots will also be filled. David McLoone, Brendan Kelly, Paddy Tinney and Fergus McGee going for the jobs under the provincial body.
The rest of the officers will remain as they were for 2021.
Derry GAA will also hold their convention tonight in Owenbeg.
The Oak Leaf County have reported a surplus of £201k for the year, a year which also seen the Derry County Board become debt free.
The only position to be filled is their Irish Language officer.
Tyrone will host their convention on Tuesday evening.
