First batch of Covid-19 vaccines arrives in Northern Ireland

The first consignment of Covid-19 vaccines have arrived in Northern Ireland.
The initial batch of almost 25,000 doses of the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine now paves the way for vaccinations to commence from early next week.
The North’s Health Minister Robin Swann confirmed that vaccinators will be the first to receive the vaccine, followed by priority groups which include care home residents and staff and health and social care workers.
Meanwhile, 449 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in the North in the past 24 hours, and six patients have died.
