New MEP takes his Midlands North West Seat

The Midlands North West Euro constituency officially has a new MEP.
Fine Gael’s Colm Markey has taken up the seat vacated by Mairead McGuinness when she became EU Commissioner.
The now former member of Louth County Council is a businessman and farmer, and has cited ongoing CAP negotiations and Brexit as priorities as he takes up a seat in the European Parliament.
