Donegal school bus debacle raised in Dail

 

The Dail has been told that Bus Eireann and the government must ensure that there are school bus places for all eligible and concessionary second level students.
Donegal Deputy Padraig MacLochlainn says the government is striving for 50% capacity on school bus services, and while that would be desirable, it cannot be achieved at the expense of students and parents.
Deputy MacLochlainn also says the government is looking to the private bus sector to bail it out, and refusing requests for support during the spring and summer.
He told the Dail no student should be left behind:
