Low pay big factor in Covid outbreak, says Donegal TD

 

A Donegal Deputy believes low pay is a big factor for the extent of current outbreak of Covid-19.
A motion, calling for the Pandemic Unemployment Payment to be restored to 350 a week, is currently being debated in the Dail this afternoon.
It now ranges from 203 to 300 euro a week, after cuts were introduced last month.
Deputy Thomas Pringle has rowed in behind the motion which was brought forward by People Before Profit.
Speaking in the Dail, Deputy Pringle says low pay has been the common denominator throughout the pandemic:
