Five arrested in connection with abduction are released

Five people arrested in Tyrone by police investigating the abduction and assault of a man in Donegal have been released on bail.
A man in his 30s was assaulted by three males at a house in Convoy, at approximately 11:45am on Sunday.
Gardai say that the man was forced into a grey Mercedes and found five hours later.
He was treated in hospital for serious but non life-threatening injuries.
Following a cross border operation between the Gardai and Police, the vehicle was later located outside a house in Castlederg.
The PSNI have confirmed that the three men and two women who were arrested following searches of the property have now been released on bail pending further enquires.
Gardaí said they are linking the attack to a spate of incidents in Donegal – in Ballbofey, Killygordon and Lifford – in the early hours of Sunday.
An incident room remains open at Letterkenny Garda Station and a full investigation is continuing into the incident.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to the incident at Oak Park, Convoy to come forward.
They are also appealing to anyone who may have observed a Grey Mercedes Benz C Series to contact them.
