Sinn Fein are due to bring forward a Private Member’s Bill today seeking to annul a statutory instrument introducing a penalty points system for off-shore fishermen which was been signed recently by Taoiseach Micheal Martin.
Donegal Deputy Padraig MacLochlainn previously warned the Dail that if the scheme was not set aside and replaced, then Sinn Fein will move a motion to have it annulled.
That is what he intends to do today.
