UK’s attempt to override Brexit deal has damaged trust – Coveney


The Minister for Foreign Affairs says trust in the UK has been very seriously damaged by its government’s attempt to override the Brexit deal.
MPs are due to begin debating the Internal Markets Bill tomorrow, which includes measures that would allow changes to the EU withdrawal agreement.
The British Prime Minister says the changes are necessary to protect the northern Irish peace process and prevent a customs border in the Irish Sea.
But speaking on the BBC, Simon Coveney, says that’s a ‘bogus argument’ and the move is damaging to the UK:
