Donegal gets biggest payout of Restart Grants in North West

Businesses in Donegal have received over €4 million collectively from the Government’s COVID-19 Restart Grant – the biggest payout in the North West.
The grant has delivered almost €9 million to businesses right across the region, including Donegal, Sligo Leitrim and Roscommon.
The Restart Grant is designed to help businesses with the costs associated with reopening and re-employing workers following COVID-19 closures and individual grants of between €2,000 and €10,000 are available for this purpose.
This funding has been described as crucial in helping small and micro businesses to get back on their feet after what has been a very difficult number of months.
Businesses across Donegal are to share over €4 million to date – nearly double Sligo’s allocation of just over €2 million.
Roscommon businesses have received over €1,600,000 while those in Leitrim are to share just shy of €1 million.
Donegal County Council is responsible for administering the grant and application forms are available on the Councils website.
