Harps Making Progress on Finn Park Improvements

It was a long day at Finn Park on Monday as club volunteers worked into the night helping to get some of the new units in place to create new dressing room space in the ground.
The plans include a new changing room with treatment room plus room for kit and of course showers. The new facilities are located behind the existing TV gantry on the Aldi side of Finn Park and the existing toilet block has been moved to allow everything to fit.
The units have been sourced from various places to provide the new facilities in as cost effective a manner as possible. There remains a lot of work to be done, with electrical work, plumbing, carpentry and of course a lick of blue paint needed, while other necessary works around the ground and existing clubhouse also have to be completed to be ready for the first home game on the 4th of August.
Harps director Ivan Harvey said, “It was a long day! It’s great to get the units on site though so we can move ahead with getting everything connected up and ready for action. There’s a long way to go yet but with the backing fans have given us we have been able to make great progress and it will be a great addition to our facilities once complete. We had Cliftonville here on Saturday and our current facilities meant we could not admit fans to the ground, so it shows how important this work is. We have raised the target to €35,000 now in case people still want to contribute, there are plenty of jobs to be done in the ground so we appreciate every donation big and small to help us get Finn Park in the best shape possible.”
The Harps GoFundMe remains open until August 4th here: https://www.gofundme.com/f/hometofinnpark
