Business groups are welcoming plans to extend the temporary wage subsidy scheme to cover new and seasonal workers.
It’s after reports the government’s looking at it as a way of getting people off the pandemic unemployment payment and back working.
The current temporary wage subsidy scheme is due to expire at the end of August, however that’s expected to be extended.
