An investigation is continuing following the discovery of partial human remains on the coast at Maghery, near Dungloe.
The discovery was made at approximately 6.30pm yesterday evening.
The remains have since been removed to the mortuary at Letterkenny hospital for a postmortem examination and the Office of the State Pathologist has been notified.
It’s understood that further searches in the area involving the Coast guard and the Gardai are to resume this morning.
Gardai are investigating all circumstances surrounding the discovery.
