Big jump in speeding fines collected by Gardai in Donegal

 

There’s been a big increase in the amount of speeding fines collected by Gardai in Donegal.
According to freedom of information figures, drivers in the county paid just over 425,000 euro worth of penalties over the course of 2018 and 2019.
2,720 fixed charge notices for speeding were paid in Donegal last year, up 550 on 2018.
Aisling Reid, from the Parc Road Safety Group, is urging people to slow down.
