Urgent meeting sought to discuss A5

 

The MP for West Tyrone is seeking an urgent meeting with Stormont Infrastructure Minister Nichola Mallon to discuss the A5.
It’s after the minister indicated that construction on the upgrade of the route, which was to have begun this year, A5 will not start until next Spring because of a £242m shortfall in funding.
Work on the A6 between Derry and Belfast may also be affected.
MP Orflaith Begley says both projects need to proceed, but given the cross border nature of the A5 project, it should be prioritised:
