Irish Water resumes projects in Letterkenny

Irish Water has resumed projects in Letterkenny in partnership with Donegal County Council.
They say the work will realise a vital plan to upgrade and replace the drinking water mains and wastewater network in several locations in Letterkenny.
There are two strands of work taking place.
Works on the wastewater network are being undertaken in phases to reduce the risk of sewer flooding in Letterkenny. Work has now recommenced at the College Road / New Line Road junction from 7am to 6.30pm daily. Local traffic management will be in place for the duration of the works.
Drinking water mains replacement works are also being undertaken in phases. They’ve now recommenced on the N13 between Veagh and Manor Roundabout. Two-way traffic will be maintained at all times for the duration of the works.
Irish Water says these projects will support the economic and social development of Letterkenny, and will be carried out in line with Government and HSE guidance.
