A Donegal councillor is calling for a full review of the administration of the Local Improvement Scheme, and the criteria under which funding is allocated, in order to avoid any suggestion of what he termed “a nod and a wink” politics.
Cllr Michael Cholm Mac GiollaEasbuig says he’s been told the council will receive just over half a million euro under the latest tranche of funding, but, again, that won’t even scratch the surface of the need that exists in Donegal for this funding.
Clr Mac GiollaEasbuig says there are suggestions that approved cases now be reviewed, but he says what really needs to be reviewed is how the monies are allocated………
