August’s Ulster Rally called off

This years Ulster Rally has been called off because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

A statement said the virus was "preventing the organising team from safely carrying out the necessary preparations" ahead of August's event.

The Rally was a counting round of both the Irish Tarmac and British Championships.

It's the fifth event on the Irish series to be cancelled with the Donegal International, West Cork, Circuit of Ireland and Rally of the Lakes in Kilarney also effect by the pandemic.

February's Galway International Rally is the only round to have run to date.
