O’Neill parts ways with Northern Ireland

Michael O’Neill has stepped down as manager of Northern Ireland.
The former Shamrock Rovers boss had been combining the role with that of Stoke City manager since November and was due to take charge of the Euro 2020 play-off against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
That game’s unlikely to be played before October because of the coronavirus pandemic.
The winners of that tie play either the Republic of Ireland or Slovakia in the play-off final.
