There are calls for safety measures to be put in place on the N56 between Crolly and Loughanure following a number of recent collisions on the stretch.
Resurfacing works are to begin on the road next week.
However, Councillor Micheal Cholm MacGiolla Easbuig fears it is only a matter of time before there is a serious crash on the road unless urgent action is taken to address the safety concerns:
