GE2020: Steady turnout so far in Donegal

 

Staff and election campaign supporters in and around Donegal’s polling stations are reporting a steady turnout this afternoon.
A total of 132,000 voters are eligible to vote right across the county until 10pm tonight, after polling stations opened at 7am this morning in what’s the first Saturday election since 1918.
High turnouts so far include Downings 27%, Carrigart 24%, Dungloe 24%, Stranorlar 22% and areas on the Fanad peninsula in and around 20%
Turnouts at stations in the west and south of county are slightly lower with the likes of Ranafast at 13%, Kilcar, 18% and Dobhar 15%
