Rory Gallagher reacts to Derry’s National League Division Three defeat to Down


Down went top of the National League Division Three on Saturday night after they defeated Derry 0-14 to 0-12 in Newry.
Rory Gallagher’s side started well and led 0-03 to 0-01 after just six minutes and led 0-08 to 0-07 at half time.
In a tight second half both sides cancelled each other until Barry O’Hagan pointed with two minutes to go to give Down the lead for the first time in the game.
Jerome Johnstone then put two between the sides before Christopher Bradley brought Derry back to within one.
Donal O’Hare slotted over the games final score to fire Down top of the table.
