Donegal fire service respond to almost 640 incidents in ten months

 
 

The Fire Service in Donegal responded to 637 incidents in the first ten months of the year, with the Northern Ireland Fire Service mobilising 79 brigades to assist in Donegal.
The figures are presented in a report presented to members of Donegal County Council in conjunction with the budget.
Over the course of the period from January 1st to October 31st this year, Donegal Fire Brigades mobilised 832 times, responding to 697 incidents in the county.
The option of seeking assistance from across the border is one which is always open, and there were 79 mobilisations into Donegal by the Northern Ireland Fire Service in the first 10 months of the year.
One new Class B Appliance delivered was delivered to the Donegal Fire Service this year – it arrived in July, and was located in Gweedore.
Meanwhile, capital funding was provided for one Incident Command Vehicle, and also for one new Water Tanker.
