The Taoiseach says time is tight to break the Brexit deadlock but it’s still possible.
Leo Varadkar says Friday is a reasonable deadline as the heads of Government across the EU would need time to scrutinise any proposals.
Mr Varadkar says across the EU people accept that a Brexit extension would be better than no-deal.
But he says that would only be agreed if there was a realistic deal during that time period:
