There were mixed results for the North West sides in the All Ireland League Division 2C with City of Derry losing out at home to Bruff, whilst Omagh drew with Clonmel.
In their opening game of Championship 3, Letterkenny Rugby Club were defeated 10-0 away at Newry.
In the Pro 14 there were wins for Leinster, Munster and Connacht, whilst Ulster were beaten away at Cheetahs.
