Plans underway to save Letterkenny – Moville bus link

The National Transport Authority has confirmed that it is currently working to ensure a service is in place come October 11th when North West Busways service will cease to operate its Inishowen to Letterkenny service.

In a response to Donegal Senator Padraig MacLochlainn the NTA said another commercial operator has applied to operate services along the same route omitting the existing stops in Malin, Culdaff, Gleneely, Muff, Quigley's Point, Redcastle and Moville.

However, the body says due to the route being subject to a public service obligation, they are working with Local Link with a view towards providing options for customers.
