Investigation underway after suspicious object explodes in Derry

An investigation has been launched following reports that a suspicious object exploded outside a house in Derry overnight. 
It’s understood that the object was thrown into Bonds Place, in the Waterside area of the city, at around 22.50 last night
While no-one was injured during the incident, considerable damage has been caused to the front door of a property.
Anyone with information is being urged to contact police.
