All Ireland Replay causes fixture problem in Donegal

Gaoth Dobhair celebrate 2018 Donegal Championship win

The fact the All Ireland senior football final will go to a replay has caused a bit of a headache for Donegal’s fixtures committee.
The Kerry/Dublin replay will be played on Saturday week, September 14 – but the six o’clock throw in time will clash with a number of games scheduled at different levels in the Donegal Club Championship – including three games at senior level.
In all there are 18 championship games scheduled in Donegal that evening and the Donegal Competitions Control Committee who look after the fixtures say that due to the unavailability of enough referees, they would not be able to move the games to the Sunday
However, if contacted by clubs the CCC will consider re-scheduling the times of games on the Saturday – as long as the changes are agreeable to the clubs involved.
