An investigation is continuing into a weekend assault in Letterkenny.
The incident occurred on the Lower Port road area of the town in the early hours of Sunday morning last.
A young man sustained an injury to his left eye and was knocked unconscious.
Sgt Eunan Walsh says while the suspect has not yet been apprehended, he had been sighted leaving the scene on foot:
