A Climate Crisis Committee is to be established by Derry City and Strabane District Council.
An SDLP motion brought forward last week was passed and a committee is now to be set up to examine the Council’s contribution to the climate crisis and mitigate the impact of climate breakdown on citizens, communities and the economy.
Councillor Cara Hunter says this is an opportunity for Councillors to play their part in combating the climate crisis:
