‘Ruxis’ a step closer to becoming a reality for rural Ireland

 

Uber-style taxis which are being referred to as ‘ruxis’ are a step closer to becoming a reality for rural Ireland.
The National Transport Authority plans to run a pilot scheme for grants for people who want to begin running a rural taxi service.
The process of getting a licence and the cost of insurance is expected to ease through the initiative.
Fine Gael TD Jim Daly, who first proposed the idea, says it is to help those living in isolated areas:
