St Columba’s lose out on penalties in National Cup Final


There was heart break today for St Columba’s College, Stranolar as they lost out on penalties in the FAI Schools Minor Boys U15 National Cup Final in Monaghan.
The Ulster champions went down in the shootout to St Aidan’s CBS from Whitehall Dublin.
It was 1-1 at the end of normal and extra time. Callum Gillen levelled up the tie on 36 minutes to get Columba’s back in the hunt.
Aidan’s would go onto lift the trophy winning 4-2 on spot kicks.
