Burtonport Harbour redevelopment proceeds to formal planning process

 

A formal planning application has now formally been submitted for the redevelopment of Burtonport Harbour in West Donegal.
It’s understood that the project will tackle a number of issues currently causing difficulty at the site; these include the problem of limited parking at the pier, the need for better facilities for both the fishing community and tourists.
The project is estimated to cost in the region of €3m.
Local Cllr Marie Therese Gallagher says pressure must be put on the Government to deliver the funding needed to get the project off the ground:
