€60,000 in funding has been sanctioned for works to be carried out at Curransport Pier.
There have been repeated calls for money to be allocated to repair the slipway at the pier.
While welcoming the announcement, local Councillor Micheal Cholm Mac Giolla Easbuig hopes additional funding can be sanctioned to carry out further works in the area of the pier:
