The Government has sanctioned a total of €225,000 in funding for local projects in Carrigart and Rathmullan.
€50,000 is to fund an engineering assessment report of Rathmullan Pier while €175,000 is going towards refurbishments works at Mevagh Parish Hall.
In terms of Rathmullan Pier, Local election candidate Eimer Friel says this initial report will pave the way for Donegal County Council to bid for more funding to carry out much needed works there:
