Belfast Celtic send official application to join Ulster Senior League


Belfast Celtic have officially applied to join the Ulster Senior League next season.
Talks have been ongoing since July of last year and the West Belfast club who play as Sion and Leisure Swifts in the NIFL Premier Intermediate League have now committed to joining the USL subject to approval by officials.
The club and the league have had numerous meetings with the FAI and the IFA about the move.
The league has already presented to the current clubs, Celtic’s proposal to join and it’s understand it was positively welcomed.
Secretary Niall Callaghan told Highland Radio Sport, a decision on the application will be made next week.
