Donegal County Council is currently assessing what’s been described as a treacherous set of steps in Letterkenny with view towards providing a handrail there.
It follows concerns raised by residents over how unsafe the steps, located between Beechwood Road and Beechwood Park are during bad weather.
Cllr Jimmy Kavanagh says the route is used regularly, particularly by elderly people who are finding it difficult to access the steps in frosty conditions.
He’s hopeful that the Council will address the issue in the coming weeks:
