Former Institute and Derry City player John Quigg will be taking on his first role in senior management in football when he takes the helm at Institute and could very well be in the dug-out for their last home game of the season tonight against Newry City.
Quigg left his role as Derry City’s youth coach last month and will take over from interim manager Kevin Doherty, who took control after Paddy McLaughlin left to manage Cliftonville earlier this year.
He steps into the role knowing that his side will be playing in the top tier next season as ‘Stute have secured their NIFL Premiership status for the 2019/2020 season.
